... I've added the "follower" widget to my page. This in spite of having a big fat zero followers and merely drawing attention to it. Still, I notice a number of other blogs have started using it, so here goes anyway.

ah - cack. I'd forgotten that had even existed. It's a bit out of date...
Looks like you started it a bit like me (i.e. a sort-of self-reflective tool for "self-assessment") but then let it stagnate a bit. Very, very easy to do.
I only really got going when those ducks turned up last year! And even then, it hasn't quite worked out as intended.
I'm not sure if it's a help or a hindrance that other people read it. That certainly wasn't my idea at first.
